Akore Myanmar life hotel Yangon: Recommendation for a hotel close to the airport

My trip to Myanmar (Burma) I opened in Yangon after almost 20 hours of flights and connections, so I looked for a hotel close to the airport and if possible indulgent. The Akore Myanmar Life Hotel Yangon solution was perfect for that! A hotel that is five minutes from the field in a particularly convenient location from which we set out the next day for a variety of walks in the city.
In the morning I also discovered the stunning pool here which was necessary in Yangon’s heavy heat, as well as a dining room with a varied and delicious menu and a super nice and helpful staff.
This new and large hotel is a short drive from the airport. You can arrange in advance with the hotel receptionist to send a taxi to pick you up for free (otherwise the price is $ 4-5). Yangon is a huge and bustling city and its center of interest is about a half hour drive from the hotel in the evening or an hour and a half drive during rush hour during the day. However, the Yangon bus station is also close to the hotel, so it is very convenient to be in if you are planning a short stay in the city.
The price per night starts from 50$ and includes breakfast. You can book by booking or contact the hotel directly.
The hotel is huge with dozens of rooms on seven floors, but still not feeling it and the quiet is superbly maintained. The room is comfortable and clean, with a high quality toilet and shower and a strong air conditioner.
The main and most beautiful attraction of the city is the Shwedagon Pagoda which is about an hour and a half taxi ride from the hotel. You can order a taxi in the Grub app or ask the staff to invite you.
You can also visit Sula Pagod.
Yangon’s third must-see site is the reclining Buddha Chauk-htat-gyi Buddha Temple, which is a relatively short drive from the Sula and the Swedagon. Here you will find a huge (and lying) Buddha statue.
